The doctor’s assessment before your treatment will define the specific needs of your face for the treatment of wrinkles around the mouth. The treatment is then carried out through injections delivered by needles or cannulas. It is a very well tolerated procedure.
The result is apparent immediately after the injection and will last for 6 to 12 months. Touch-ups carried out once or twice a year will help maintain an optimal effect.
Neuromodulators (Botox® / Xeomin® / Dysport®) are made of natural proteins whose purpose is to temporarily relax the muscles. They reduce wrinkles and prevent their appearance by providing a smoothing effect and softness to the skin.
An appropriate injection technique will relax the targeted facial muscles in order to smooth out wrinkles around the mouth while maintaining a natural and rested appearance, without a “freezed” look.
Following an evaluation, your doctor will determine the number of units required, which will be deposited precisely through superficial injections. This minimally invasive procedure is very well tolerated and requires no recovery time.
The first results are visible within 3 to 5 days of the injection. The maximum effect appears after 10 to 14 days and generally lasts for a period of 3 to 6 months.
